The number 1 team in Asia continues to be Iran, although this opponent was dropped one place on the FIFA Ranking (to 22nd) after the loss to Algeria on June 13.

Japan continues to hold the 2nd position in Asia as well as the 23rd in the world. The 3rd place of Asia has not changed compared to the Korean name, although this team has moved up 1 place on the FIFA Ranking to 28th in the world.

The two best performing teams in recent times are Australia and Uzbekistan, both of which have risen six places on the June 2022 FIFA Rankings to 36th and 77th in the world.
